The series stars Timothy Dalton as an evil land baron and Jerome Flynn as his henchman, along with Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph and Sebastian Roché. Dexter actress Jennifer Carpenter joins the cast for season two in a recurring role.
The second (and likely final) season of 1923 will continue to follow the next generation of Duttons after the events of Yellowstone (2018)'s first prequel series, 1883. Ford and Mirren's Jacob and Cara Dutton are the aunt and uncle of Elsa Dutton (Isabel May), the protagonist of 1883 who narrates 1923.
Elsa’s brother, Spencer Dutton (Sklenar), emerges as the Duttons’ last hope at the end of season one of 1923. In season two, after being separated from his wife Alex (Schlaepfer) in the finale, he must continue his transcontinental journey back to Bozeman, Montana, to save both the Dutton ranch and his family from outside threats.
Season two of 1923 will debut on Paramount+ on Sunday, February 23, 2025. It will air on SkyShowtime on Monday, March 10.
