ABC and 20th Television's upcoming series 9-1-1: Nashville has added four actors to its permanent cast. The cast of 9-1-1: Nashville, the latest spinoff in ABC and 20th Television’s popular 9-1-1 franchise, continues to grow. Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and newcomer Hunter McVey have joined the series’ regular cast, which previously included Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
Hailey Kilgore
Kilgore plays Taylor, a female firefighter with an exceptional singing voice — a role that takes advantage of her musical background. Provost plays Ryan, a modern-day cowboy and firefighter. Feliz is Roxie, a former trauma surgeon and adrenaline junkie. McVey, in his acting debut, plays Blue, a former “bad boy” who has turned his life around as a firefighter.
The series is set in the musical heart of America: Nashville. The presence of artists like Kilgore and Rimes, both of whom have music careers in addition to their acting, suggests that music will play an important role in the themes of the series. Kimberly Williams-Paisley is not a professional singer, but she has appeared in other projects, including ABC's comedy series According to Jim, where she sang Amazing Grace. Williams-Paisley is also married to country star Brad Paisley. He may be persuaded to guest star for a special episode.
MIchael Provost
9-1-1: Nashville is described as an action-packed, emotional, and family drama series that centers on the lives of first responders against a backdrop of power and glamour. The project was given a straight-to-series order by ABC in February.
The new series is an extension of the successful 9-1-1 universe, which moved from Fox to ABC in 2023. The other spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, ended after five seasons. The new title will have to prove itself as a worthy successor, but with this ensemble cast, the foundation seems to be firmly laid.
Kilgore has been cast in the series after finishing Starz's Power Book III: Raising Kanan , which has already filmed its fifth and final season but has not yet aired. Provost's recent acting roles include Kevin Costner's An American Saga - Chapter 2 and Alexander Payne's The Holdovers . On television, he played Brick Armstrong in the Netflix comedy series Insatiable .
Feliz is known for her roles as Isabela Benitez-Santiago in the Prime Video series Harlem, Carmen in the HBO Max series DMZ, and Alejandra Lopez in Fleishman is in Trouble (FX). She was recently cast as the co-lead of the spin-off of The Equalizer opposite Titus Welliver for CBS. The project ultimately fell through. She can also be seen in the upcoming third season of AMC's The Terror, titled Devil in Silver.
McVey will make his professional acting debut in 9-1-1: Nashville.
