After I finished the first book, I couldn't wait to watch the first season. I've now seen the first 4 episodes and I'm really enjoying it! In the series you get some more background information about the motivations of the characters who are chasing Diana and Matthew. I read the book in one sitting, I was so fascinated. I assume you haven't read the books? Often useful before you start watching a series based on a book (just saying). Also makes the series a lot better. Although I agree that they really could have done a better job. It is nice and like that, but I have the feeling that it is rushed through far too quickly and everything comes across so calm and calm and almost numb. While that is not the case at all in the books.
