The film adaptation of Holly Jackson's popular young adult novel will see a further six episodes filmed for season two in 2025 in Britain.
According to a synopsis from Netflix, in the second season, after solving the Andie Bell case, Pippa Fitz-Amobi (Myers) will have to deal with the aftermath and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings' trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds himself in a race against time to find him and grappling with the idea of justice.
The return of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder will be available on Netflix worldwide, except in the UK/Ireland, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. The series will air in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
The series "fits squarely in a well-known but deservedly beloved tradition of mysteries about meddlesome teenage detectives, with traces of everything from Nancy Drew to Harriet the Spy to Veronica Mars, if you're looking for American antecedents. Or, with the British small town setting, maybe it's more Miss Teen Marple?" wrote Daniel Fienberg, chief television critic for The Hollywood Reporter, in his first season review.
I really liked the first season, so bring on this one.
