A Man on the Inside Rounds Out Cast for Second Season with Eleven New Cast

Netflix has completed the cast of season two of A Man on the Inside, adding eleven actors to the comedy series.
Constance Marie, David Strathairn, Gary Cole, Jason Mantzoukas, Jill Talley, Linda Park, Lisa Gilroy, Madison Hu, Max Greenfield, Michaela Conlin and Sam Huntington join the previously announced Mary Steenburgen in the series led by Ted Danson.

David Strathairn

Created by Mike Schur, A Man on the Inside centers on Charles (Danson), a retired man who gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. In season two, Charles (Danson) goes undercover at a university.

Marie plays Vanessa, a former con artist who works part-time as a underworld investigator for Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada). Straitharn is Dr. Cole, the chair of the English department at Wheeler College and the most famous and popular professor on campus. Cole plays Brad Vinick, a successful businessman whose significant donation to his alma mater sets off a chain reaction that leads to Charles’s hiring. Gilroy plays Kelseigh Rose, billionaire Brad’s new wife and aspiring photographer.

Jason Mantzoukas

Mantzoukas stars as Apollo Lambrakis, a friendly contractor who dreams of writing the Great American Novel. Talley plays Holly Bodgemark, the overworked, perpetually stressed-out principal of Wheeler College. Park plays Elizabeth Muki, the director of the Fine Arts Department at Wheeler College. Hu plays Claire, a Wheeler sophomore who works multiple jobs on campus to pay her tuition.

Greenfield stars as Jack Beringer, the charismatic president of Wheeler College whose job requires him to raise money from wealthy graduates. Conlin plays Andrea Yi, an economics professor at Wheeler College who is excited about the changes that are coming to the school. Huntington plays Max Griffin, an incendiary journalism professor at Wheeler College.

The series will take the form of an anthology, with Charles tackling a new case each season. In the first season, he went undercover in a retirement home. The new destination for season two was announced at the end of the first season, when Charles began offering his services as a guest speaker.

New season, new faces. Surprisingly liked the first season, so I'm curious what the second will bring!

The danger of an anthology is that you have a completely different cast every season. The chemistry between the cast in the first season was phenomenal and that made that season a lot of fun.
I hope they can do this for the second season, but that is not certain. But I will definitely watch if they succeed.
