Absentia will end with its third season

Lead actress Stana Katic has revealed that Absentia is ending. The third season is going to be the last of the American Amazon crime series.

Absentia premiered in 2017. Two years later, the third season was announced by Amazon Prime Video. It premiered in July 2019. That was the last renewal, which has been confirmed by lead actress and executive producer Stana Katic (Castle). A fourth season wasn't completely out of the question, but the creators have decided that ending the series with its third season is the proper conclusion.

Katic portrays FBI agent Emily Byrne. She suddenly disappeared and was considered dead after a long search. Six years later, Emily is found in poor health in a cabin in the woods. She can't remember anything about the twisted person who abducted and tortured her. Her husband has remarried and her son doesn't recognize her at all. Emily does everything to find answers to all her questions.
