Acapulco reveals plot twist in trailer for fourth and final season

The fourth and final season of Acapulco promises to be hot, full of plot twists and beautiful, sunny images.
In the recently unveiled new trailer, we see protagonist Máximo Gallardo Ramos (played by Eugenio Derbez) reflecting on 1986, a pivotal year in his life. That year, he was promoted to Head of Operations at Las Colinas, the colorful and vibrant Acapulco hotel that is the central theme of the series.

In the flashback storyline, we discover that Las Colinas has lost the battle for the title of best hotel in Acapulco to rival Alma del Mar. Hotel co-owner Alejandro Vera (Jaime Camil) decides to launch a secret operation to discover what exactly Alma del Mar does better.

The revelation comes as a huge shock: Don Pablo (Damian Alcazar), who had supposedly retired, is secretly running Alma del Mar. He's using his knowledge of Las Colinas' operations to deceive his old friends.

With the threat of Las Colinas being turned into a timeshare and the staff potentially being laid off, Alejandro and the team decide to pull out all the stops. They're determined to become Acapulco's number one again—or perish in the fight.

"Rebuilding a reputation is nearly impossible, but you'd be amazed at what you can do when your back is against the wall," the adult Máximo tells Gustavo (Cristo Fernández) in the trailer.

One thing's for sure: the Las Colinas team isn't going to give up easily.

Besides Derbez and Fernández, the cast includes Fernando Carsa, Rafael Cebrian, Vanessa Bauche, Camila Perez, Carlos Corona, Chord Overstreet, Regina Reynoso, Jessica Collins, and Regina Orozco. Damian Alcazar, Jaime Camil, and Cristo Fernández return as guest stars.

New this season are Carolina Moreno, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Omar Chaparro as recurring cast members. Jack McBrayer also makes a special appearance.

The season premieres on Wednesday, July 23rd with two episodes; after that, new episodes will air every Wednesday until September 17th. Check out more first-look photos and the trailer below.
