In the second season, Tony (Ricky Gervais) is still struggling with the loss of his wife, but he tries to be a better friend for those in his direct environment. Tony's friends all have their problems, and it doesn't get any better when the local newspaper threatens to close down. Hopefully, a festival will bring back some joy for the people of Tambury. The second season has six episodes and will release on the 24th of April.
After Life revolves around Tony, who used to have a perfect life, then his wife Lisa suddenly lies, and Tony changes. After having considered taking his own life, he instead decides to live long enough to punish the world by doing and saying whatever he wants. He thinks it's a superpower to not care about yourself and others, but that turns out to be a bit more complicated when everyone tries to save the nice man his friends used to know.
