The British crime comedy series Agatha Raisin has been renewed by Acorn TV with its fourth season. Production is set to begin in March. Ashley Jensen (
Catastrophe) has portrayed the lead character in this British crime series for over three seasons. She will once again return as
Agatha Raisin in the fourth season. Next March, production on the fourth season is set to begin. It is expected to consist of eight episodes that will last for 45 minutes or four episodes that will last for 90 minutes. This includes a winter special. The new season is expected to begin its run near the end of this year or early next year.
The series is based on the best-selling novel series by M.C. Beaton. It revolves around private detective
Agatha Raisin, who is trying to solve a number of mysteries in the Cotswolds. The fourth season will be based on the books Kissing Christmas Goodbye,
Agatha Raisin: Love, Lies & liquor,
Agatha Raisin & the Spoonful of Poison and
Agatha Raisin: There Goes the Bride.
