Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson as the fan-favorite Jedi, who tries to save the galaxy from Grand Admiral Thrawn, a new threat after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Dawson first brought Ahsoka Tano to live-action in the second season of The Mandalorian and also appeared in The Book of Boba Fett. In addition to Dawson, the film stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as New Republic General Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Dark Jedi Baylan Skoll, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. The show marked the first live-action appearances of Sabine, Hera, Thrawn and Ezra, who were main characters in the animated Star Wars Rebels TV series. Hayden Christensen returned to his role as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka's former Jedi master. Other cast members included Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elspeth and David Tennant as the droid Huyang.
Ahsoka was created by Dave Filoni, who also worked on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series is produced by Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa directed episodes for the first season. Other details about when we can expect the second season have not yet been announced.
