Aikatsu! is een Japanse animeserie van de zender Tokyo MX. De serie ging in première op 8 oktober 2012.
Ichigo Hoshimiya is een regulier, normaal meisje op de middelbare school. Maar wanneer haar beste vriendin Aoi haar uitnodigt om lid te worden van de idool-trainingsacademie, Starlight Academy, staat haar hele wereld op zijn kop. Orihime and Tiara announce the beginning of the Aikatsu8 Elections, in which fans will show their support for their favorite idols, and the eight most popular idols will form a special unit known as Aikatsu8. They declare that the Elections are not limited to idols from Starlight and DreAca, so Mizuki and Mikuru from WM are eligible to participate.
