Ali Bouali

Ali Bouali is a Dutch documentary which aired on Videoland. The series premiered in 2021.

Ali's childhood friends, family and wife, but also his colleagues. Marco Borsato, Boef, Waylon and Brace, among others, talk about their bond with Ali in the series. It also looks back at the difficult childhood of the 'cuddly Moroccan', as the rapper is also called. At a young age, he and his little brother were abandoned by their father. Because the boys' mother was always at work, they ended up on the streets and had to deal with drugs and violence. For Ali himself, it has become a personal, vulnerable, but also confrontational portrait, Videoland reports. "This documentary feels like a mirror I've never looked into," Ali says.
