It's been fifteen years since the first season of American Dad! released. Episode 300 will be released during the upcoming season. In 2014, the series moved from FOX to TNS. On April 13, TBS will start airing the new season, which is set to feature various known names and will have guest performances. For example, the episode that is set to release on May 4 will feature Grammy winner The Weeknd. He has also written parts of the episode and has recorded a new song. Other guest actors this season are Jane Lynch, Patton Oswalt, Ron Perlman, Craig Robinson, Criss Angel and Bill Nye.
American Dad! revolves around CIA agent Stan Smith and his family; his wife Francine, son Steve, daughter Hayley, an alien called Roger and a talking goldfish who's been implanted with the brain of an Eastern-German ski jumper. The series is to some extent a satire on the US's approach to terrorism following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
