In Andor, Luna reprises his role as a rebel spy after Rogue One (2016). Andor follows his journey from thief to revolutionary during his early years with the Rebel Alliance, taking on difficult missions for the cause in the first season.
During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California in August, Ben Mendelsohn was revealed to be part of the season two cast in a behind-the-scenes video. He will reprise his villainous role as Orson Krennic from Rogue One. Luna said in the clip that the "stakes are higher" in the new season.
“This second part will follow Cassian over the period of four years as he grows into the hero we see make the ultimate sacrifice in Rogue One,” he explained.

Creator Tony Gilroy planned the series as a two-season adventure, with the second season leading up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which introduced audiences to Luna's Andor for the first time.
Season two comes after production of the new episodes was halted last July during the SAG-AFTRA strike. Andor season two can be seen on Disney+ from Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
