Disney+ releases trailer for Andor season two

Disney+ releases trailer for Andor season two

Disney+ has released a first look at the highly anticipated second season of Andor.
The trailer reveals new footage from the Emmy-nominated Star Wars drama series. The upcoming season will conclude the story and lead into the events of the 2016 film Rogue One.

The official description of the new season: "Season two will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war approaches and Cassian becomes a major player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and as the stakes increase, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound."

The trailer features the return of Ben Mendelsohn as his Rogue One character director Orson Callan Krennic, and Rogue One fan-favorite droid K-2SO, who is voiced by Alan Tudyk.

The final season will contain twelve episodes, divided into four chapters of three episodes each. The first chapter can be seen from Tuesday April 22 and the following chapters will appear every week.

Creator Tony Gilroy says: “One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real people making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences. Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in season two.”
