Animal Kingdom (2016) has already been renewed with its sixth season, which was done even before the fifth season started. The sixth season will be the last of the series, but before we'll think about that, let's focus on the fifth season first. TNT has now announced that the fifth season is going to premiere on Sunday the 11th of July. It is not yet known how many episodes will be part of this season. The second, third and fourth season all consisted of thirteen episodes.
The series is based on the movie with the same name that released in 2020. It revolves around the seventeen-year-old Joshua 'J' Cody, who moves in with his grandmother Janine after the death of his mother. Her three sons still live at home and they are all part of the criminal environment of Southern California. Nonetheless, Joshua wants to stay on the right track.
