‘Arrow’ introduces 'The Flash'

First there was talk about that the alter ego of Barry Allen (‘The Flash’) would make his debut in episode twenty of 'Arrow', but as reported earlier that’s all off the course. Two other characters, however, will make their debut. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim announced in a press conference that two of the cast members of ‘The Flash’, Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes, will get guest roles in the nineteenth episode of ‘Arrow’

Panabaker will play Caitlin Snow a scientist who lost her fiancée in an accident at S.T.A.R. Labs in Central City. Valdes will play Cisco Ramon a young genius that works at S.T.A.R. Labs.

“It was very appealing to us bringing these characters in to play, because it gave us the chance to stay with our intention to do something related with ‘The Flash’ in or around episodes nineteen or twenty of ‘Arrow’. This way we do not have to pay Grant Gustin to do nothing”, according Guggenheim, who in fact stated that Barry will not get out of his coma until the premiere of ‘The Flash’ this autumn.
