Production has begun on the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024).

Filming has begun on season two of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024). Netflix announced the production news along with some additional casting. The newly cast actors are Chin Han, Hoa Xuande, Justin Chien, Amanda Zhou, Crystal Yu, Kelemete Misipeka, Lourdes Faberes and Rekha Sharma. They star alongside leads Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley, Kiawentiio, Dallas Liu, Ken Leung, Elizabeth Yu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Daniel Dae Kim in the second season of the series that follows young Aang (Cormier) as he meets the four elements controlled. It is a live-action adaptation of the 2005-08 animated series.



Netflix shared the following about the roles the newcomers will play:

“Chin Han plays Long Feng, Hoa Xuande is seen as Professor Zei, Justin Chien is King Kuei, Amanda Zhou is Joo Dee, Crystal Yu is Lady Beifong, Kelemete Misipeka is The Boulder, Lourdes Faberes is General Sung and Rekha Sharma plays Amita.”

According to Tudum, executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani said the following about season two of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024):

“We’re looking forward to working with all of our actors again and digging into the deeper, more complicated relationships that develop as their journey continues in season two. We are going to show the real-world versions of iconic scenes from the original, and explore some of the stories that the animation didn’t. Mainly — we’re looking forward to seeing our gang all together again.”

The streaming service renewed the series for a third and final season in March. The start date for season two of Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024) will be announced at a later date.
