This September, Away premiered on Netflix. The streaming service has now decided to cancel the series after its first season. Away was created by Andrew Hinderaker (Penny Dreadful). In the series, Hilary Swank (Trust (2018)) portrays the lead character, American astronaut Emma Green. Next to that, the series also featured Josh Charles (The Good Wife) and Talitha Bateman (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) as her husband and daughter.
Astronaut Emma Green prepares an international crew for the first mission to Mars. Green had to say goodbye to her husband and daughter. During the journey, the crew finds it increasingly difficult to deal with the distance between them and their families back on Earth.
