ABC Family has decided, despite declining ratings, to renew ‘Baby Daddy’ for a fifth season.
‘Baby Daddy’ is a multi-camera comedy about twentysomething Ben who unexpectedly becomes a dad to a baby girl when she's left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend. Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his mother Bonnie, his brother Danny, his best buddy Tucker and his close friend, Riley, who is harbouring a secret crush on him.
“Comedy is an important part of ABC Family’s make-up,” said Karey Burke, executive vice president, programming and development. “We’re excited to see where Dan Berendsen, creator and executive producer, takes these lovable characters and look forward to more great comedy from the cast.”
The fourth season of ‘Baby Daddy’, which currently airs on ABC Family, has an average of 770,000 viewers. The ratings have slightly declined since the third season of the sitcom.
