Kary Antholis, president of HBO miniseries and Cinemax programming, had the following announcement on 12 February: "The hit action series ‘Banshee’ will come back for a fourth season of eight episodes. The series will be shot in Pittsburgh, PA."
The series, which won an Emmy Award, is currently airing its third season of ten episodes. At the moment, five episodes have already been aired and it is expected that the last episode will be broadcast on 13 March.
Recurring cast and crew will be announced when they are confirmed. The fourth season of ‘Banshee’ will begin in 2016.
