Beauty and the Beast is een Amerikaanse dramaserie van de zender The CW. De serie ging in première op 11 oktober 2012.
Catherine Chandler is een slimme en no-nosense moordrechercheur. Jaren geleden zag ze voor haar eigen ogen hoe haar moeder vermoord werd door twee schutters. Catherine zelf zou de schietpartij ook niet overleefd hebben, als ze niet plots door iemand - of iets - gered werd. Niemand geloofde haar, maar zij weet dat de moordenaars niet aangevallen werden door een beest ... maar door een persoon. Nu jaren later is Catherine een sterke, zelfverzekerde en bekwame politieofficier. Wanneer ze samen met haar politiepartner Tess een moordzaak onderzoekt, komt ze op het spoor dat leidt naar de knappe dokter Vincent Keller. Alleen ... Keller werd volgens officiële bronnen in 2002 gedood in de oorlog in Afghanistan. Catherine ontdekt dat Keller nog leeft en wat meer is ... hij was degene die haar jaren terug redde van de moordenaars van haar moeder.

x-on:Karin, I have now watched the 3 episodes of S2 aired and I love it. I was already hooked on S1 and as you said it just got better and better. But S2 is totally awesome! It's like Jay Ryan is playing a completely different person. I don't think the actors have grown because I already thought they were good! Just look at the on screen chemistry between Jay Ryan and Kristin Kreuk. And Jay Ryan has such an expressive face, he can portray emotions without saying anything. Anyway, all looking at S2. I love it!

Ellie well say. Last Monday, after broadcasting on Showcase in Canada, I immediately watched episode 9 via Megashare. Great, and if you watch the promos and read tweets from the writers etc. great episodes are coming up. Can't wait but we have to. I still had a gift voucher so I ordered the DVD of S1 at Bol.com. The DVD will be released on 26-03-2014. Nice with all the extras on it. The latest message from Net5 is that they will soon have good news about broadcasting S2. And you're definitely not greedy, I get it. I am addicted and that has never happened to me. And I watch a lot of series. Enjoy!

Ina, I'm glad you were able to order it. It's a little more pleasant with Ned. subtitles. I always have to turn up the PC/TV quite loudly to hear everything, especially when they mumble, I have more complete series like NCIS, 24, Castle and you name it. Racks full. Recording from the TV is good if you just want to watch, but not for saving with all those commercial breaks.

Love it very nice series. Sometimes it seems as if a lot has been cut and that you are missing pieces, which is a shame. For the rest nice series and no punishment to just watch Jay Ryan . Hoping for season 2 anyone have any idea if that will come???

Hi Elly, the first time I always watch without subtitles because I want to see the episode quickly but then you always have to hope that they speak clearly and there are not too many sounds. A few days later I download the episode with Ned. subtitles via Spotnet. There are many series, movies and music to download. You pay a fixed amount per month, but I don't mind. Yesterday it was announced that they are still broadcasting in America until March 10 and then there will be a break until the end of May. Then the next episodes will be broadcast. In May, decisions are also made about which series to continue and which to cancel. Things don't look very rosy for Beauty and the Beast given the ratings in America. They are actually broadcast by the wrong (small) station and they are on a difficult evening this season with a lot of competition. And only the live viewers really count for what companies pay for advertising. I hope they can continue, I really can't miss it yet. They say this season's new showrunner has a storyline in mind for up to 5 seasons. I'd say give them a chance. Still a lot of fun to watch.
