Beef season two officially confirmed by Netflix and Pachinko actress added to the cast

Pachinko actress Youn Yuh-jung has been cast opposite Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan in season two of Beef.
Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny star in the anthology series from creator, executive producer and showrunner Lee Sung Jin and A24.

In the new eight-episode season, a young couple (Spaeny and Melton) witness an alarming argument between their boss (Isaac) and his wife (Mulligan), leading to chessing of favors and coercion in the elite world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner (Youn, photo).

For Youn, this means a reunion with Netflix and A24. The Korean actress's first American series was Netflix series Sense8, in which she had a small role. Youn's Hollywood debut was in A24's Minari, which won her an Oscar, among other awards.

She is currently starring in Apple TV+'s period drama Pachinko, which is awaiting a possible third season, and will be seen in the romantic film comedy The Wedding Banquet, a remake of Ang Lee's film.

The first season of Beef, starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, premiered in 2023 and dominated the subsequent awards cycle. The eight Emmy Awards include Outstanding Limited/Anthology Series or Television Film.

Lee, Yeun and Wong and Jake Schreier return as executive producers for season two.

The second season of Beef is expected on Netflix in 2025.
