ABC has made their first order of 2020. The network has decided to order six extra episodes for Big Sky from David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies). Last November, the crime series premiered at ABC. It was created by David E. Kelley (
Big Little Lies). Seven days after its premiere, the series had reached 10.8 million viewers. Next to that, the series has become the most appreciated debut series since The Rookie back in 2018. Ten episodes were supposed to be released but due to the backorder, the series will now have a total of sixteen episodes.
Big Sky is based on the book series with the same name by C.J. Box and follows private detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury,
Pitch). Dewell is working alongside former agent Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick,
Vikings) on the search for two sisters who were abducted by a truck driver near a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these weren't the only girls to have disappeared in this area, they have to rush in order to stop the killer before another woman disappears.
