Set near London around Christmas, Black Doves is a sharp, action-packed and heartfelt story of friendship and sacrifice. It follows Helen Webb (Knightley), a quick-witted, down-to-earth, devoted wife and mother - and professional spy. For ten years she has been passing on the secrets of her politician husband to the shadowy organization she works for: the Black Doves.
When her secret lover Jason (Andrew Koji) is murdered, her spymaster, the enigmatic Reed (Lancashire), enlists Helen's old friend Sam (Whishaw) to protect her. Together, Helen and Sam go on a mission to investigate who killed Jason and why. In doing so, they discover a vast, interconnected conspiracy that connects London's dark underworld with a looming geopolitical crisis.
The first season, consisting of six episodes, will premiere worldwide on Thursday, December 5.
