The story unfolds against the backdrop of New York's hectic nightlife scene. Jake Friedken (played by Law) is the charismatic owner of Black Rabbit, an exclusive restaurant and VIP lounge at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. He's about to transform his business into the city's hottest hotspot.
However, Jake's life is thrown into disarray when his younger brother Vince (Bateman) unexpectedly returns. Vince brings with him not only old traumas but also enormous debt—he hasn't paid off a loan for three years and owes a "large sum." While Jake himself struggles to maintain his financial success, Vince unleashes an avalanche of chaos, life-threatening situations, and criminal threats.
In addition to Bateman and Law, the cast includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Sope Dirisu, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Chris Coy, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young, and Robin de Jesús, with Amir Malaklou, Don Harvey, Forrest Weber, Francis Benhamou, Gus Birney, John Ales, and Steve Witting also starring.
The series is divided between directors: Bateman himself, his Ozark co-star Laura Linney, Benjamin Semanoff, and Justin Kurzel will each direct two consecutive episodes.
Black Rabbit will be released on Thursday, September 18th. Watch the trailer below.
