Blue Bloods remains canceled despite protests from viewers and cast

Blue Bloods will not be saved from its canceled status. Last year, CBS announced that season fourteen would mark the end of the long-running series and that the season would be split into two parts. The first part is currently airing and the second half of season fourteen will arrive in the fall.



Starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez and Vanessa Ray, the long-running series Blue Bloods follows a family of law enforcement officers in New York City.

Selleck spoke out about the series' cancellation ahead of the season fourteen premiere, revealing that he and others in the drama's cast were unhappy with the decision.

Could the series get a stay of execution, as happened with fellow Friday Night occupier S.W.A.T. (2017)? Unfortunately not.

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said the following about the decision to cancel the series:

“We love this cast, we love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”
