Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre reunite for new HBO comedy series How to Be a Bookie

Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre reunite for new HBO comedy series How to Be a Bookie

Charlie Sheen reunites with producer Chuck Lorre years after their Two and a Half Men feud twelve years ago.
Stand-up comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, Omar J. Dorsey (Queen Sugar), Jorge Garcia (Lost, Hawaii Five-0 (2010)), Andrea Anders (Cruel Summer), Vanessa Ferlito (NCIS: New Orleans) and Maxim Swinton (Fleishman is in Trouble) star in the upcoming comedy series.

How to Be a Bookie follows a bookie (Maniscalco) who has long dealt with changing times and the looming legalization of sports betting. He also deals with increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers and a lifestyle that takes him to every corner of Los Angeles, high and low.

According to Deadline, Sheen will have a recurring role on Nick Bakay and Lorre's new Max comedy series, How to Be a Bookie. No details about Sheen's role in the series have been revealed.

Sheen (pictured) and Lorre enjoyed a highly successful partnership on Two and a Half Men for eight years, making the CBS series one of the most successful comedy series of this century. That partnership came to an end when Sheen suffered a public breakdown in 2011 and was later fired.

Ashton Kutcher joined the series, and seasons nine and ten ratings surpassed those of Sheen's senior year on the sitcom. The numbers dropped in seasons eleven and twelve, and it was decided to end it. The sitcom remains highly profitable in syndication.

Sheen has since expressed regret for his actions and handling of his departure and wanted to make amends with Lorre. It seems that has now happened.

The premiere date for the new How to Be a Bookie will be announced later.
