Boston Blue casts new actor as Sean Reagan

Sean Reagan, the youngest son of Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), gets a new portrayer in the upcoming CBS drama series Boston Blue.Mika Amonsen takes over the role of Andrew Terraciano, who played Sean for fourteen seasons of Blue Bloods. The new casting reflects a creative new direction: in Boston Blue, Sean follows in the footsteps of the Reagans and starts as a police officer in the Boston Police Department.

Sean's move to Boston immediately explains why his father, Danny (Wahlberg), moves from New York to Boston. There, Danny is paired with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green). The series gives father and son the opportunity to deepen their bond while Sean tries to find his own footing within the police force.

In addition to Wahlberg and Martin-Green, series regulars include Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, Gloria Reuben, and Ernie Hudson.

Boston Blue is a spinoff of Blue Bloods and will premiere this fall on CBS, on the same Friday night slot as the original series.

Amonsen has previously appeared in films including Reacher (Prime Video), Pachinko (Apple TV+), and Eli Roth's horror film Thanksgiving. He will soon appear in Corin Hardy's Whistle.
