The regular cast, consisting of Cafmeyer, Dries Heyneman, Mathias Sercu, Steven Mahieu, Yves Degryse, Patricia Kargbo, Anna-Marie Missoul, Zouzou Ben Chikha, Wim Opbrouck, Benoit Dorné, Bert Huysentruyt and Kurt Defrancq, will be reinforced this season by some new names, such as Lize Feryn, Robin Keyaert, Kurt Van Eeghem, Gunter Lamoot, Serge-Henri Valcke, Wim Stevens and Ilse De Koe.
In the third season, Chantal's (Cafmeyer) life has changed thoroughly: she is now a couple with Arne. There are some surprising advantages for her, but Chantal lives for her work and the homely Arne (Mahieu) has a hard time with that. Moreover, adolescent Emma (Missoul) discovers that having a caring and concerned father figure at home also has disadvantages...
The police team is strengthened in the new season by Miss Els (Julie Delrue): she gets a job as an administrative assistant, and soon ensures that the atmosphere at the station changes completely.
In addition to her personal problems, Chantal and her team once again take care of all crimes in the region: burglary, murder, blackmail, vandalism, neighborly disputes... Yes, peaceful Loveringem remains by far the most criminal municipality in the Westhoek.
Chantal was created and written by Mathias Sercu and directed by Jeroen Dumoulein. The series is a production of Eyeworks Film & TV Drama, in co-production with VRT 1 and Streamz. Chantal was created with the support of the Belgian tax shelter for film financing and in collaboration with SCIO Productions.
