Two lead actors leave Chicago Med

Chicago Med's cast is going to be trimmed down a bit. Two leading actresses will leave the American medical drama series after six seasons.

The ending of the sixth season of Chicago Med is getting closer. It started back in December 2020. A couple of episodes are left. With the upcoming ending of the sixth season, it was announced that Yaya DaCosta (House M.D.) and Torrey DeVitto (Army Wives) aren't going to return for the next season. Both have been part of the series since the very first season. Respectively, they portrayed April Sexton and Dr Natalie Manning. Both actresses shared an Instagram message regarding their departure. Here, you can read the message of DeVitto, and here, you can read the message of DaCosta.

Last year, Chicago Med was renewed with another three seasons, which pretty much means that the series will be part of NBC till at least 2022-2023. After that, nothing has been revealed as of yet.
