New recurring cast member for Chicago PD

A new character will be introduced in Chicago PD. Deputy superintendent Samatha Miller will be portrayed by a former Empire actress.

Nicole Ari Parker (Empire) will be joining the cast of Chicago PD in its eighth season. She will portray an important recurring character in the series. The character that Parker is going to play is deputy superintendent Samatha Miller, a progressive and feisty supporter of police reform. She wants to help Voight (Jason Beghe, Californication) and Intelligence adjust to the new reality, but doesn't support any breaches to the new police guidelines and protocols. Miller is supposed to contain Voight's behaviour and hold Voight and his team responsible by upholding high professional standards.
