The creator of the Child's Play movies - Don Mancini - has created a television series about our favourite murdering puppet in collaboration with FOX.
The American town Hackensack has never been a safe place around Halloween. Then, the overly-bullied teenager Jake Wheeler buys a true 'Good Guys' puppet on a flea market. Suddenly, it turns out that it could all get a lot worse. The murdering puppet does his thing. This doesn't result in a lot of open wounds, but his actions also result in the secrets of the inhabitants being revealed. We also find out more about Chucky's mysterious origins.
Lead actor Brad Dourif returns to voice Chucky. The remaining - visible - cast are a little bit less known: Zackary Arthur (Transparent) and Bjorgvin Arnarson (PEN15) as the 'lucky' owner of Chucky and his best friend. A fun detail is that Fiona Dourif - yes, the daughter of - is also part of the cast. Teo Briones (Ratched) and Alyvia Alyn Lind (The Young and the Restless) portray the less sympathetic lead characters.
The first season will consist of ten episodes. Each episode will take approximately 45 minutes.
