City on a Hill renewed by Showtime

The American crime series City on a Hill has been renewed with its third season. Last March, the second season premiered.

Kevin Bacon (The Following) and Aldis Hodge (Underground) will return to portray their characters in City on a Hill for the third time. Showtime has decided to renew the series once more. Back in 2019, City on a hill premiered. The second season released back in March.

City on a Hill takes place in Boston in the early 90s. The city was packed with violent criminals who were encouraged by local law enforcement institutions. A time where corruption and racism thrived until everything suddenly changed due to the 'Boston Miracle'. Chuck MacLean created the series, which is based on an original idea from Ben Affleck. MacLean will not be writing the third season as he is currently being investigated following a misconduct inquiry. He will still serve as an executive producer.
