Mike goes to London to organise the funeral and Maggie comforts him. Eddie tells Hilda that he's going to Liverpool for the night. Les Charlton pesters Gail for a date. Hilda feels sorry for Elsie as she's ill in bed and calls round. Eddie has to hide in the backyard. Ivy calls on Gail and finds Les visiting her.
