USA Network has cancelled the series ‘Covert Affairs’ after five seasons. There was still hope that there would be a sixth season, which perhaps would be shorter, to tie up the cliffhanger and other storylines. But unfortunately for the fans that was not to be.
It was a business decision to not move forward with ‘Covert Affairs’ because the ratings got worse every season. The fifth season of Covert Affairs had a big drop in the ratings: almost 48 percent in the demographics of 18-49 compared to the fourth season. The total number of viewers has dropped by 32 percent.
The last episode of season five, which was also the series finale, was aired on 18 December 2014. The fans will not know what Annie’s decision would have been in her private life and professional life.
On ‘Covert Affairs’, operatives Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and Auggie Anderson (Chris Gorham) work together in the CIA’s Domestic Protection Division (DPD). The show’s cast also includes Kari Matchett, Peter Gallagher, Hill Harper, and Nicholas Bishop.
