Crossing Lines comes back for second season

The European 'Crossing Lines' has been renewed for a second season. The show, which was aired by NBC over the summer, had enough financial backers to warrant more episodes.

'Crossing Lines' features an elite team of investigators who solve international serial crimes in Europe. It stars veterans like William Fichtner (Prison Break) and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games). It's produced by the German Tandem Communications and Bernero Productions in co-operation with the French TF1 and Sony Pictures Television Networks.

The show didn't perform all too well on NBC where the final episode garnered only a 0.4 rating. In the European countries it has aired the show is, however, rather successful. Tandem reportedly sold the show in over 180 markets.

The second season of 'Crossing Lines' will be twelve episodes long. Whether NBC opts to buy the rights for the second season remains to be seen.
