Crossing Lines gets a third season

Maybe you can remember that NBC aired its first episode in June 2013. And maybe you can also remember that the ratings were not good enough for a second season. But NBC had little to say about the future of ‘Crossing Lines’ because it was funded by European investors. And because the series was a big hit in Europe, they had ordered a second season of the international crime series.

Netflix has aired the first two seasons in the United States and now there will also be a third season of ‘Crossing Lines’. When the third series will be broadcast, by Netflix or another outlet, is not yet known. Production will begin next week in Prague and elsewhere in Europe. It is also not known yet when or if Netflix Nederland will air ‘Crossing Lines’.

The third season will have 12 episodes and Goran Visnjic (Extant, ER) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) will be replacing William Fichtner. Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files) and Rola Bauer (Tandem) will be the executive producers of the third season. Ed Bernero, the creator and executive producer of ‘Crossing Lines’, has left the series after two seasons to be closer to his family in California.

Are you looking forward to the third season of ‘Crossing Lines’?
