
In the new incarnation of the premise, which originated in Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses , a ruthless stepbrother and stepsister will do anything to stay on top—in this case, the Greek life hierarchy at an elite Washington, D.C. college. After a brutal hazing incident threatens the entire Panhellenic system, they do whatever it takes to maintain their power and reputation—even seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States.
The main cast included Sarah Catherine Hook, Zac Burgess and Myra Molloy as leads, along with series regulars Khobe Clarke, Brooke Lena Johnson, Sara Silva, Sean Patrick Thomas and John Harlan Kim.
The series was produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios and Original Film. Sara Goodman and Phoebe Fisher served as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers.
Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film also produced with Roger Kumble. Moritz produced the original film, which was written and directed by Kumble. Bruce Mellon served as producers along with Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi of Iervolino & Bacardi Entertainment.
