When in 2015 the final episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation aired, it didn't necessarily mean that we'd have to say goodbye to the franchise. In that same year, the spin-off CSI: Cyber aired. That spin-off was cancelled in 2016. Next to that, CSI: Miami started its run in 2002, and CSI: NY started its run in 2004. Now, there is going to be more of CSI once more. CBS has decided to order CSI: Vegas. Three actors from the original series will return.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actors William Petersen (Return to Lonesome Dove), Jorja Fox ( ER) and Wallace Langham (For All Mankind) will join Paula Newsome (Chicago Med), Matt Lauria (Tell Me a Story (2018)), Mel Rodriguez (The Last Man on Earth) and Mandeep Dhillon (After Life) in the new series. It takes place in - which can be expected - Vegas. Petersen and Fox will respectively portray Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle once more. They have returned to the city where it all started and they are joined by a brilliant new team of forensic scientists. They are confronted with a threat that could destroy their operation.
