Lyle and Erik Menendez (photo below) stood trial in 1993 for shooting their parents in 1989, according to them in self-defense. That trial ended in an indecisive jury, but the brothers were tried again in 1995 and found guilty of first-degree murder. They received life without parole.
There's no trailer for Monster's second season yet, but Netflix announced the news with a clip featuring audio from the Menendez Brothers' 911 call. You can watch this clip at the bottom of this news item.
No cast announcements have been made for Monster season two yet. That said, since creator Ryan Murphy tends to work with the same group of actors for most of his projects, it's possible that some of his usual collaborators will return for the second season.
No release date has yet been set for the second season, but the announcement promises a 2024 premiere. Nor has an episode count been announced for Monster's second season. But if it follows the first season, we can expect ten episodes.
