In addition to the series' release date, Cox and D'Onofrio gave a sneak peek at the highly anticipated drama.
Following blind lawyer Matt Murdock's (Cox) cameo in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, excitement for the character's return peaked following the conclusion of the three-season Netflix hit Marvel's Daredevil in 2018.
With a nine-part installment, Born Again follows Murdock’s quest for justice, which spans his daytime (and legal) efforts via his firm and nighttime crime-fighting through his heightened abilities. Meanwhile, former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political aspirations in the city. As per the show’s longline, “When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
The series also stars Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal, joining some of the former cast members and main characters of Marvel's Daredevil are reunited.
Dario Scardapane is the showrunner. Episodes are directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and David Boyd. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Chris Gary, Christopher Ord & Matthew Corman produce along with Benson & Moorhead, Amanat and Scardapane.
