This October, Day of the Dead will premiere on Syfy. The trailer was released during their Comic-Con@Home panel. Jed Elinoff (Best Friends Whenever) and Scott Thomas (Good Behavior) are the showrunners of the series and have also written the story of the series. This October, the series will premiere. A specific date is not yet known.
The series follows six strangers as they're trying to survive an invasion of the undeads. The story shows that all it takes to unite people is a bloodthirsty horde of hungry zombies. The series is based on a horror movie with the same name by George A. Romero. Keenan Tracey (Bates Motel), Daniel Doheny (Loudermilk), Natalie Malaika (Charmed (2018)), Kristy Dinsmore (Vikings) and newcomer Morgan Holmstrom will portray the lead roles in Day of the Dead.
