Caroline Pauwels, (pro) rector of the VUB passed away on 5 August. In the four seasons before that fateful summer, Canvas worked on a deeply human documentary about the versatile and committed woman. It was known that she was seriously ill, but her death was unexpected, also for the makers. The documentary shows the life of Caroline Pauwels behind the scenes. And how she became the person she was. But as her illness became more important in her life, that impact also got a place in the documentary.
