Teaser released for Dead Boy Detectives which has officially moved from Max to Netflix

It is official. DC drama Dead Boy Detectives will soon be available on Netflix instead of Max.
Based on Neil Gaiman's DC Comics characters, Dead Boy Detectives was originally ordered to series on HBO Max. A premiere date has not yet been announced. Netflix has released a teaser trailer.

Dead Boy Detectives

Part of The Sandman Universe for Netflix, the eight-part series is a ghost story that explores loss, grief and death through the lens of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace. So it's a lot like an old-fashioned detective series, but darker and with LSD.

Here's the official synopsis: Are you haunted by a nasty ghost? Did a demon steal your core memories? Then you might want to call the Dead Boy Detectives. Meet Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), 'the brains' and 'the brawn' behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency.

Teenagers born decades apart and only find each other in death. Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts... who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stay together, including escaping evil witches, hell, and death itself. With the help of a psychic named Crystal (Kassius Nelson, White Lines) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they are able to solve some of the mortal realm's most mysterious paranormal cases.

The cast also includes Jenn Lyon (Claws), Briana Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Ruth Connell (Supernatural), Lukas Gage (You) and David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty).

Dead Boy Detectives was developed for television by Steve Yockey, who wrote the first episode and serves as showrunner alongside Beth Schwartz as co-showrunner. Greg Berlanti, Yockey, Schwartz, Jeremy Carver, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and Gaiman are executive producers of the series from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The first episode is produced and directed by Lee Toland Krieger (Riverdale).

Seems very interesting to me. I just hope it doesn't become too "DC", but just a nice standalone series. I'm kind of done with all those "universes".
