Showtime has cast David Dastmalchian in a guest role as Gareth on Dexter: Resurrection. Production on the Dexter: New Blood sequel began in New York in January and will premiere this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime.
Led by Michael C. Hall, who returns to the role of the titular serial killer, the cast also includes returning players David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan.
Dastmalchian (pictured) joins guest stars Neil Patrick Harris, who will play Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre, and Eric Stonestreet as Al.
Also joining the cast are Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera.
Dastmalchian is best known for his roles in Christopher Nolan’s films The Dark Knight and Oppenheimer. He has also previously starred in The Suicide Squad and Dune: Part One. He will next be seen in Apple TV+’s Murderbot, premiering in May, and Netflix’s One Piece season two (2023).
