Dexter: New Blood actor reprises his role in Dexter: Resurrection

An actor from Dexter: New Blood will also appear in Showtime's Dexter: Resurrection.
Production on the Dexter: New Blood sequel series began in January in New York and will premiere this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime.



David Magidoff (pictured) has joined the recurring cast of Showtime’s Dexter: Resurrection as the Iron Lake Police Department character Teddy Reed.

In addition to his work on Dexter: New Blood , Magidoff played Nicky Brooks in the first season of Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed series The Morning Show .

Led by Michael C. Hall, who returns to the role of the titular serial killer, the cast also includes returning players David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan.

New additions include Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Previously announced cast members include Neil Patrick Harris, who will play Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre, Eric Stonestreet as Al and David Dastmalchian as Gareth.

The franchise’s first prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin starring Patrick Gibson as the young Dexter, recently wrapped its first season. The season finale aired in February and scored 2.68 million viewers worldwide, making it the most streamed episode of the season, according to the streamer.
