Sean Patrick Flanery will play an important role in the upcoming eighth season of Dexter. The actor, known for his title role in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, will play the part of Jacob Elroy, a former cop and now private-eye in Miami.
Also, the British actress Charlotte Rampling will be added to the Dexter cast. She will play a neuropsychiatrist and an atypical profiler with a penchant for working with severely disturbed adolescents.
As announced earlier, Dexter will return this summer (June 30) with its eighth season. The show will be used as lead-in for the new show Ray Donovan.
