Showrunner Russell T. Davies said in June that "we don't know what's going to happen yet" regarding the future of Doctor Who (2024). One thing is certain: Ncuti Gatwa has confirmed his retirement as the Doctor.
According to The Guardian, Kate Phillips, head of content at the BBC, said the following about the series' future:
"Whovians, rest assured: Doctor Who (2024) isn't going anywhere. Disney has been a great partner and will continue to be with the Doctor Who (2024) spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea next year. But going forward, with or without Disney, Doctor Who (2024) will remain on the BBC... The Tardis isn't going anywhere."
Regarding viewer complaints about the show's content, Davies said, "What you call diversity, I call it stating the obvious. Someone always brings up diversity. And there are online warriors accusing us of diversity, wokeness, and incorporating messages and themes."
The premiere date for the upcoming season will be announced later.

The ratings and opinions of viewers are paramount. After all, without them, there's no series.
Keep living in your own world and maintain your wokeness. Let's see if things improve in the future. I doubt it.
Doctor Who once offered magic, suspense, and adventure that millions of viewers could lose themselves in. Now, it often feels more like a political platform. If the creators continue to act as if the fans are the problem instead of the content, then it's not a question of if, but when the series will definitively collapse.
