Doctor Who originally aired from 1963 to 1989, making it the longest running science fiction series. The Doctor moves in time and space in the TARDIS (an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space, a relative dimension of time and space). This 'vehicle' - which is larger on the inside than on the outside - originally had the property of adapting to the environment in which it was located.
It looks like Doctor Who, the series that returned in 2005, has been renewed for a thirteenth season. Jodie Whittaker, the current actor who plays the main character, revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that she will appear as a time traveler for another season. However, the series has not yet been officially extended by the BBC for a thirteenth season.
Whittaker said the following about the future of the series. “Yes, I’m doing another season,” she said. “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say because it would be a massive lie! I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!"
